General
Adjusted Application Rate Limits
We've adjusted the application rate limits to better align with our defense strategy:
Token bucket size: 20 requests (previously 40) - burst capacity
Refill rate: 5 requests per second (previously 10) - sustained rate
These limits apply per application instance. Since we run multiple instances in production and each maintains its own rate limit counter, the actual limit you experience will vary based on traffic distribution patterns.

Performance Optimization : Prioritize recommended products over area searches
We're rolling out performance optimizations for TripBuilder's template instantiation that intelligently prioritize recommended accommodations over expensive area searches. Building on our previous 60-70% reduction in API calls, this enhancement further reduces latency by checking recommended products before querying up to 1,000 alternative hotel properties unnecessarily. The optimization maintains our established selection hierarchy (default > recommended > cheapest) while delivering faster instantiation times and better resource utilization. Tour operators will experience the performance improvements transparently with zero changes to workflows or functionality, just faster, more efficient multi-day itinerary creation that scales better under load.
Prevent Automatic Flight Searches When Editing Dates in Multi-City and Roundtrip Flows
We’ve improved the flights search experience to prevent unnecessary searches when users edit travel dates or other parameters in multi-city or roundtrip modes. Previously, every change triggered a new search automatically, causing multiple redundant requests and a poor user experience. Now, all edits are buffered locally, and the system only executes a search once the user explicitly clicks the “Search” button. This enhancement ensures faster, more efficient flight selection with reduced system load and smoother trip planning.

Fixed Down Payments
We’re introducing a new down payment option that lets customers set a fixed down payment per person rather than a percentage of the total booking value. This feature simplifies booking management for group travel, ensures predictable cash flow, and reduces calculation errors. Administrators can now choose between percentage-based or fixed deposits in the booking settings. Existing users will see no disruption; their current percentage-based rules remain intact. This backward-compatible enhancement empowers travel agents and operators with greater flexibility and transparency in deposit handling.

Commission Rule Revision Selection Fix
We have fixed an issue where commission rules were not correctly applying based on distribution channel restrictions. The system was previously filtering rules by distribution channel before selecting the latest revision, which allowed older rule revisions with broader distribution channel applicability to override newer, more specific rules. This could result in incorrect commission rates being applied to bookings.
The fix ensures the latest published revision of each commission rule is evaluated first, then filtered by the distribution channel. Commission calculations are potentially impacted after this release as any rates that were previously calculated incorrectly would now reflect the intended rule configuration.
