We are happy to announce our latest TripBuilder release. Please see these release notes for the most significant changes. Let us know if you have any questions, feedback, or ideas for features or improvements!

.DISCOVERY

Import PNR: Reinstate Net Price Modifications

Based on customer feedback, we have updated the Import PNR feature to reintroduce the ability to adjust imported net prices, restoring a previously available functionality. Users can now set the net price to zero, allowing for scenarios where flight prices are excluded from the total itinerary cost. Along with this update, TripBuilder ensures that the sales price cannot be lower than the net price. This change maintains data consistency while providing significant pricing flexibility.

Usability Improvements on Planner Copilot

In this release, we have made significant enhancements to the Planner Copilot in the following areas:

  • Chat History and Context Retention: When navigating back from subsequent steps, chat history and context are now preserved. This allows users to continue conversations smoothly without losing previous messages or context.

  • Reset Button: We have introduced a clear and explicit reset button, enabling users to easily clear the chat history and context when needed.

  • Language Detection: The AI better detects the user's language, especially for shorter prompts.

Flight Search with Carrier Criteria

The transport search step in Planner has been enhanced with a new Carrier field, allowing users to specify up to three preferred carriers as search criteria. When these carriers are selected, only flight results operated by them will be displayed. This new feature enables users to conduct more precise flight searches that align closely with their preferences.

Improved Payment Management on the Billing Page

We have enhanced the Customer Care billing page to provide clearer and more accurate information regarding transaction dates. The improvements include:

  • Due Date Column: A new column has been added to display the actual due date of transactions, ensuring users have complete and accurate information.

  • Settlement Date Column: This column is now correctly labelled and continues to be displayed alongside the due date for each transaction.

  • Payment API: Users of the API can now update both the due date and the settlement date (referred to as 'Valuta' in the Booking API).

  • Tooltips Added: Tooltips have been introduced for both date columns to clarify their meanings. The tooltip for the Settlement Date column explains when a transaction is settled, while the Due Date column indicates the payment deadline.

Please note that currently, it is not possible to edit the settlement date when processing manual payments from Customer Care. This functionality will be added in the coming weeks.

.APIs

Extension to Connect API for Accommodations

We have extended the Connect API for accommodations to include a reference to TripBuilder's itinerary ID. This new field can be used and stored by third parties integrating with the Connect API, potentially aiding in booking reconciliation processes. The new field is optional, ensuring compatibility with existing integrations and allowing implementation only when supported by the supplier.

Find more information on the Connect API (here) and associated technical API docs for accommodations (here).

Enhanced (CRS) Integration Options

TripBuilder now supports a new URL parameter: clientmeta. This allows the metadata object from the Itinerary API to be passed and stored in the user's browser session. When an itinerary is created, this metadata is automatically applied to it. This enhancement enables users to be redirected to the Discovery UI, reducing the need for API integrations and UI re-implementations.

.INTEGRATIONS
