.DISCOVERY

Enhanced Flight Arrival Date Descriptions

We have refined the description for the arrival date when creating a new tour by selecting a flight first in Discovery. The updated "arrival date at destination" provides users with clearer information, helping minimise booking errors.

Amenities Price Inclusion in Room Price

We have enhanced the way room prices are displayed in accommodation details. The room price now includes the cost of mandatory amenities, ensuring consistency with the total price added to the itinerary. This improvement aligns hotel pricing logic with the approach already used for activities, providing users with transparent and accurate cost information.

Translation Status on Module Template Inventory Report

We have enhanced the Module Template Inventory Report by adding language status columns. Each new field (one per language) contains a Boolean value that indicates whether the component’s name - such as accommodations, transit activities, stop activities, rental cars, base services, upsell items, and transfers - is available in that language. These columns help track translation coverage and, when exported to a tool with filtering capabilities (e.g., a spreadsheet), allow for quick identification of translation gaps. This feature is particularly useful for assessing readiness for new markets.

Details on Booking Failures with SoftConEx and Aerticket Suppliers

We have improved TripBuilder to provide more detailed information in the event of booking failures with the transport suppliers SoftConEx and Aerticket (legacy API). This additional information can be accessed through the Booking History in Customer Care and the Supply Connections Dashboard in Analytics. This enhancement is designed to give users a clearer understanding of booking failures, enabling them to follow up independently without needing technical support.

.APIs

New Data Attributes in Booking API

We have extended the Booking API with two new data attributes:

  • The “firstBooked” attribute captures the date of the first completed checkout and remains constant, regardless of any subsequent checkouts. It is particularly useful for reporting and data analysis, allowing you to track the initial booking date accurately.

  • The “paxSelection” attribute (within the insurance object) facilitates the alignment of passenger-specific insurance details. It enables a simple correlation between the Booking API and Checkout API, ensuring more precise data handling.

.INTEGRATIONS

New Direct Integrations with Peakwork Hotels and TBO

We are pleased to announce the launch of two new direct integrations with leading accommodation suppliers:

  • Peakwork Hotels: This integration provides global access to a vast array of accommodation options. It is supported by a robust caching solution designed to enhance conversion rates, improve the look-to-book ratio, and efficiently manage high search volumes.

  • TBO: Through this integration, you can access over 1,000,000 accommodations worldwide. TBO features over 50,000 contracted properties, particularly on upscale, luxury, and lifestyle hotels, including renowned brands such as Hilton, Wyndham, Accor, and Jumeirah. Additionally, this integration offers access to over 100 DMCs and wholesalers.
