Adding a stop

To add a new destination to your itinerary:

  1. Look for the "Add a stop" option between existing stops or at the end of the itinerary timeline.

  2. Click it to open the destination selector.

  3. Search for or browse the destination you want to add.

  4. Select the destination and specify the number of nights via the calendar dropdown.

  5. The new stop is inserted into the itinerary at the chosen position.

Once the stop is added, Smart Planner automatically:

  • Creates a hotel placeholder for the new stop (with recommendations if available).

  • Adds transport sections connecting the new stop to its neighbors.

  • Recalculates the overall trip pricing and dates.

  • Refetches new flights for the trip.

Removing a stop

To remove a stop from your itinerary:

  1. Locate the stop / hotel card of the stop you want to remove.

  2. Click the context menu (vertical "...")

  3. Click the remove stop option.

  4. Confirm the removal.

When a stop is removed:

  • The hotel, activities, and transport associated with that stop are removed from the itinerary.

  • Transport between the remaining stops is recalculated (e.g., if you remove Stop 2 from a 3-stop trip, transport now connects Stop 1 directly to Stop 3).

  • The trip price and dates are updated accordingly.

  • Availability check is done for the rest of the products. If available in new dates we keep them. If not available anymore they are dropped and user is warned.

Changing dates and nights

Within each stop card, you can adjust the number of nights. Increasing or decreasing nights at a stop will:

  • Shift the dates of all subsequent stops.

  • Update hotel pricing for the adjusted duration.

  • May affect flight dates if the overall trip length changes.

  • Availability check is done for the rest of the products. If available in new dates we keep them. If not available anymore they are dropped and user is warned.

What happens to existing selections

When you modify the itinerary structure (add, remove, or change number of days), Smart Planner preserves your existing selections wherever possible:

  • Hotels and activities at unchanged stops remain selected.

  • Flights are preserved if the overall dates and route still work. If not, a new flight search starts

  • Transport between stops is recalculated automatically.

Limitations

  • The ability to add and remove stops depends on the template type. Some fixed templates may not allow structural changes.

  • There is no route builder as in planner, the user flow is different and simpler, but might come with limitations for some use cases.
