Hubby eSim Connector

Written by Product Management

Overview

Hubby is a global eSIM provider that enables tour operators to offer mobile connectivity to their travellers as an ancillary service. Unlike traditional supplier integrations, Hubby connects via webhooks and provides instant eSIM activation without requiring a physical SIM card. Coverage is available in 125+ countries worldwide.

How Hubby eSIM Works in TripBuilder

Hubby integrates with TripBuilder through two distinct user flows, allowing your travellers to purchase eSIMs either before or during their booking journey.

Email-Based Upsell

After a traveler completes their booking, Hubby receives the booking notification via the Nezasa webhook. Approximately 7 days before departure, Hubby sends a pre-departure email offering eSIM packages tailored to the traveler's destination. Travellers can purchase eSIMs directly from the email or through the Hubby app, and activation is instantaneous.

In-Checkout Upsell

Your team can create upsell products in TripBuilder inventory to sell eSIMs directly during the checkout process. By configuring upsell rules, the eSIM product is displayed to travellers at the appropriate checkout stage. Travellers select and purchase eSIMs as part of their trip booking, and Hubby delivers the eSIM via email following the same process as the email-based upsell.

Geographic Coverage & Product Details

Hubby provides coverage across 125+ countries. eSIMs remain valid for up to 1 year, allowing travellers to activate coverage well in advance of their trip. Flexible data packages are available, ranging from basic connectivity to high-volume options, with both free and paid eSIM options available. Travellers can activate on both iOS and Android platforms with instant activation—no physical SIM card required.

Prerequisites

  1. A commercial agreement with Hubby eSIM. Each tour operator must sign a contract directly with Hubby; contact your Hubby representative to get started.

  2. A Nezasa subscription. If you are unsure whether your subscription includes Hubby eSIM, please reach out to your Nezasa account manager.

Setting Up New Credentials

API credentials for Hubby eSIM are managed by Nezasa. Once your tour operator agreement is in place with Hubby, contact the Nezasa Operations Team to request your booking API credentials. The Nezasa Operations Team will provide the credentials to your team, which you will then share with your Hubby commercial contact to complete the integration setup on their end.
