Overview

This article describes the use cases and key characteristics of Nezasa's Amadeus Discover Connector.

Amadeus Discover is an activities supplier offering a portfolio of activities, excursions, and experiences. The connector gives TripBuilder access to real-time search, pricing, and booking of Amadeus Discover products directly within your TripBuilder instance.

Prerequisites

Before you can activate the Amadeus Discover connector, you need:

  1. A commercial agreement with Amadeus Discover: You must have an active contract with Amadeus Discover. If you don't have one yet, reach out to your Amadeus Discover representative to get set up.

  2. A Nezasa subscription: The connector is available on eligible Nezasa plans. Contact your Nezasa account manager if you're unsure.

Setting up new credentials

After signing your collaboration contract with Amadeus Discover, the supplier will provide you with API credentials. Amadeus Discover issues credentials separately for their sandbox/test environment and for production. Both sets of credentials must be communicated to the Nezasa Operations Team to enable the connection on your TripBuilder instance.

Amadeus Discover specifics

On-request products

On-request products are not exposed via the Amadeus Discover API. Only immediately bookable products are available in TripBuilder.

Product permutations

Products with more than 20 service-level permutations are excluded from the integration. This is a known constraint of the API and affects a small subset of products in the Amadeus Discover catalogue.

Cancellation policies

Amadeus Discover does not expose full cancellation policy details before a booking is confirmed. Prior to booking, TripBuilder will display either a fee applies or non-refundable indicator, without a detailed breakdown of the cancellation rules. Full cancellation policy details become available in customer care after the booking has been confirmed.

Activity start and end times

Amadeus Discover does not provide activity start and end times in the API response. As a result, activity times are not displayed in Customer Care (Service & Price list) or in Travel Documentation. This is a confirmed supplier limitation with no fix planned.

Booking response times

Some Amadeus Discover products may take up to 60 seconds to return a booking response. This is expected behaviour for certain products in their catalogue and does not indicate an error.
