Booking By Strategy

We have two types of Booking By strategies:

  • Book as a Tour Operator;

  • Book as a Travel Agent.

A booking is handled differently depending on who does it. This is defined using the “Booking By” property derived by the user.

When a booking is performed by a Tour Operator with a Marketplace Operator setup, certain items might be “non-payable”. Those items are sourced from its own sources or from inventory or ad-hocs components.

Know More:

Check out the Marketplace Operator - Booking Terms article to learn more about it.

When a booking is performed by a Travel Agent or a Customer, all booked components are charged with no exception.

This configuration allows a booking done by a Tour Operator to be handled as a Travel Agency, thus allowing a Tour Operator to pay for all booked items even if they are considered “non-payable” by the Tour Operator.

Configuration is set as Book as a Tour Operator by default.
