September 16th, 2026 | TripBuilder Release Notes v381

Written by Product Management

We are happy to announce our latest TripBuilder release. Please see these release notes for the most significant changes. Let us know if you have any questions, feedback, or ideas for features or improvements!

.PLANNER

Re-check availability correctly shows on-request hotels

The "Re-check availability" screen in TO Tools now shows on-request hotels as "On Request" instead of a misleading green "Available" tick. Previously this screen disagreed with what the planner already showed, risking a consultant confirming a trip to a customer as bookable when it wasn't.

NTP-69040

Planner Copilot no longer lands trips in the wrong city

Fixed a bug where Planner Copilot could substitute an unrelated hotel's town for the actual requested destination — for example, a search for "Disneyland Paris" could produce a trip in an unrelated city, with no error shown. The destination is now passed through correctly.

NTP-69206

A single rejected flight search no longer fails an entire search

A single rejected sub-request from a flight supplier no longer causes an entire streamed flight search to fail outright. Other valid results now still return normally.

NTP-69202

.SMART PLANNER

Smart Planner now available in Hindi, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese

Smart Planner now supports three new languages — Hindi, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese — alongside our existing European and Turkish locales. All interface text, dates, and numbers are fully localized, so more customers can plan trips in their native language.

Smart Planner now asks before re-searching flights

Adding or removing a stop in Smart Planner used to trigger an automatic flight re-search in the background. Now customers get a confirmation prompt first, giving them control over when a new search runs and keeping existing flight selections untouched until they confirm.

Fixed stop activities can no longer be edited in Smart Planner

For channels where activities are disabled, customers could still open a stop’s “Customise” panel and reduce the traveller count on a fixed, packaged activity — or bypass the lock by pressing Esc. Fixed activities are now fully locked: no traveller-count changes, and closing the panel any way no longer reveals other activities to add.

Smart Planner Ground Transports supports transfer products with multiple departures

Transfer products that publish several scheduled departure times (for example, a shuttle running four times a day) now let customers pick any of those departures in SmartPlanner Ground Transports. Previously the drawer always collapsed to a single fixed departure regardless of which time the customer wanted, blocking the booking entirely.

NTP-68563

.COCKPIT

Multi-day activities now extend the stop in template creation

Adding a multi-day activity to a stop while creating an itinerary template didn’t extend the stop or itinerary to cover its full duration, and the schedule wasn’t updated. This now works correctly in Cockpit template creation, matching existing Planner behavior.

Fixed missing details when editing a city-to-city transfer

Editing a previously added city-to-city transfer on some legs didn’t show the selected transfer’s details or a way to remove it — only replace it. Editing any transfer now consistently shows its details and a remove button.

On-request bookings are confirmed across more supplier types

The "Confirm on request components" action in Cockpit now correctly detects and confirms on-request bookings across many more supplier connections (ConnectAPI, TravelgateX, SunnyCars, and others), not only the original inventory case. Previously, bookings through these newer connectors could stay stuck showing "On Request" even after the supplier had already confirmed them, requiring manual chasing.

NTP-67252

The Cockpit "On Request" queue now includes all supplier types

Cockpit's Itineraries > On Request tab now surfaces on-request bookings from non-inventory suppliers (ConnectAPI, Service Sourcing, TravelgateX, SunnyCars, and others), not only Nezasa inventory bookings. Agents previously had to discover these through a customer complaint rather than the queue itself.

NTP-69366

PNR refresh no longer silently discards rebooked flight data

"Refresh flight PNRs" in Customer Care could previously report success while silently discarding a rebooked flight's new schedule, when an airline introduced a new layover the system couldn't place. The refresh now applies the update correctly, or fails clearly instead of quietly keeping stale data.

NTP-69210

Post booking flight editing screen time picker now steps in 5-minute increments

The time pickers used when editing a flight (departure, arrival, and ticketing-until, in both the main edit form and advanced options) now step in 5-minute increments, letting customer care teams set more precise flight times.

NTP-69182

Cancelling a marked-up component no longer inflates total net price

On channels that use "Sales Price" as the cancellation-fee basis, cancelling a component previously inflated the itinerary's Total Net Price by the channel's markup percentage instead of reflecting the real supplier cost. Total Net Price now reflects the actual supplier cancellation fee.

NTP-69179

Accommodation booking failures are labelled correctly

When a supplier definitively refuses a booking (for example, an insufficient balance or a sold-out property), the affected component is now recorded as "Failed" instead of "Unknown." Previously, a definitive refusal could be mislabelled as an unresolved "possible ghost booking," leaving Customer Care and customers uncertain whether it might still confirm.

NTP-69516

Booked transfer prices now consistently match the quoted offer

Transfer bookings with pax-bracket pricing now use the same pricing logic at booking time that the original quote used, so the price a customer pays for a transfer matches what they were quoted.

NTP-69550

Fixed a rare false account lockout after login

Fixed a timing issue where a delayed failed-login record could re-trigger account lockout immediately after a successful login, occasionally locking users out right after they'd just signed in successfully.

NTP-69617

Fixed a rental car booking failure caused by unmatched equipment

Fixed a bug where updating an Alamo rental car with certain included equipment (for example, GPS or a child seat) could throw an unhandled error and fail the whole request. The unmatched item is now dropped with a warning instead of blocking the booking.

NTP-68962

Editing a flight time no longer blocks an unrelated rental car booking

Editing an ad hoc flight's time on a confirmed booking no longer falsely flags an already-booked, unrelated rental car as non-bookable and blocks the whole change.

NTP-67334

Fixed a route update incorrectly flagging a booked flight as conflicting

Fixed an issue where adjusting a route in the planner could flag an already-booked multicity flight as having a scheduling conflict, due to a placeholder transfer being rescheduled ahead of the flight's arrival.

NTP-69348

Fixed a currency conversion error when viewing certain bookings

Fixed a server error that occurred when viewing a booked itinerary in a display currency different from the booking's own currency, caused by a stored discount that wasn't being converted to the viewing currency.

NTP-69317

Transfer amenities marked "optional, selected by default" now behave correctly

Manually selecting a transfer offer in the planner now correctly pre-selects and prices any amenity configured as "optional, by default selected," matching how accommodations, activities, and rental cars already behave.

NTP-69316

Fixed "Add Flight" becoming unavailable after selecting a transfer

Adding a flight to one leg of a trip no longer disables the ability to add a flight or transfer on another leg. The option now correctly reappears after a transfer is removed.

NTP-69263

Fixed an ad-hoc activity edit failure when start and end time match

Editing an ad-hoc activity in Customer Care — even unrelated fields like title or description — previously failed if the activity's start and end time were identical. This validation no longer blocks unrelated edits.

NTP-69239

.DYNAMICPACKAGING

Live durations

DynPack now supports “Live durations”. When configured, users can select stay durations that are not covered by cached packages. This will lead them straight into Smart Planner where they can search and select their flight, hotel, and other services (the same behavior of “Live destinations”).

NTP-69503

.APIs

Booking API - Cancellations

We fixed two issues that caused the booking-level cancellation fee summary to understate what a customer would owe if they cancelled. Non-refundable activity components were being excluded entirely, and cancellation fees for hotels or other components with cancellation windows starting on or after the trip start date were dropped from the total.

Agents and customers now see the full, accurate cancellation cost across every component in the booking, for the complete relevant date range — not just the days up to the trip start date.

NTP-66241

Checkout API now reports why a component isn't bookable

The Checkout API's availability check now returns specific problem details when a component isn't bookable, instead of a bare pass/fail result. This gives API consumers the information they need to avoid charging a customer before a booking is actually confirmable.
