Overview

TripBuilder enables the layout configuration for travel summary information, part of the Travel Documentation re-used in the Planner and Checkout view. Travel summary refers to the travel locations, dates and components of a specific itinerary.

How to configure layout options for Travel Summary

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click on Distribution Channels.

  3. Click on your TripBuilder ID for the Distribution Channel (under the TripBuilder Distribution Channels section).

  4. Click on the Documents tab.

  5. Scroll down on the tab until you reach the Web View "Travel Summary" content section.

TripBuilder enables the layout configuration for the Travel Summary during the booking flow for the Planning and Checkout phases. For example, you can access the Travel Summary in Planner by clicking Itinerary & Services.

Furthermore, different layout configurations can be selected depending on the device used to access TripBuilder. There's no dependency on the layout selection for Planner versus Checkout or Desktop versus Mobile. The user can combine any of the four options.

Condensed without Grouping

This represents the most strict version in terms of textual and image content. All items are presented as a list ordered chronologically as they occur in the itinerary.

Condensed

This option, while also presenting minimum information, provides data grouping for a more precise representation of:

  • Days

  • Products types

With Descriptions

A more verbose version (only with text) holding descriptions for the locations and products (for example, accommodations) when available.

With Descriptions and Photos

This represents the more extensive and lengthy version of the travel summary, including both textual and image content. Compared with the previous option, images are now included at location and product level when available.

Note: Not every information present at the Planner is available in travel documentation. For example, stories (descriptions of a connection between stops/areas) are not supported even in the most verbose layout configurations, i.e. with descriptions and descriptions and photos.
