Create Own Tour with Import PNR

Written by Product Management

Overview

The "Create Itinerary from PNR" feature allows Tour Operators and Agents to generate itineraries based on information from a Passenger Name Record (PNR). This functionality is available through AERTiCKET and SoftConEx integrations, where imported flights are managed as ad-hoc transportation in TripBuilder.

Important:

  • This feature is accessible only to customers with AERTiCKET or SoftConEx flight integrations enabled in TripBuilder.

  • Bookings made using the AERTiCKET Cockpit tool do not synchronize automatically with TripBuilder and must be imported manually into the flight system.

  • This feature must be enabled by a Nezasa admin user. Please contact our support team or your customer success manager to enable the feature flag available at the Distribution Channel > Discovery tab > Discovery Overview / Trip Search > Itinerary Creation Options > Create Itinerary from PNR

How to Create Your Own Tour with Import PNR

  1. Navigate to the TripBuilder Dashboard.

  2. Click on Create Own Tour. The location of this link depends on the user's role:

    • If the user is a travel agent, the link is found in the Trips card.

    Please note:

    • All passengers from the PNR need to be assigned to a room. Otherwise, an error message is presented, and the user cannot proceed with the itinerary instantiation.

    • Children in the PNR will be automatically categorised and presented accordingly in the UI (as their age).

  10. To define more rooms, click on the Add Room option. Ensure all passengers are assigned to respective rooms.

  11. Once finished, click on Create Itinerary.

  12. The itinerary is created, and the Planner displays its details.

Planner Representation

The itinerary's start and final stops are based on the PNR (e.g., long-haul flights from Frankfurt to Denpasar and return). Users can modify the itinerary by:

  • Editing the route, changing and adding new stops, based on the customer’s preference.

  • Adding accommodation, transfers, activities, or other components to the itinerary.

Note: Changing the route structure, number of nights, stops, or connections recalculates the dates of subsequent stops and the placement of transport legs. Review the full route sequence after saving route changes to confirm that stops and transfers appear in chronological order.

Default Means of Transportation

A Shuttle Ride is the default transport between the imported flight and a stop (and vice-versa). Users can change the connection transportation.

Changing the transport type between connections:

  1. Click on Edit route in the Planner.

  2. In the Route Builder identify the connection you want to change.

  3. Select a new transport type by clicking on the current transport type and select a new option from the list.

  4. Click on the Update button.

TripBuilder uses the updated Route Builder sequence to place connection stops and transport legs in the Planner.

Itinerary Adequacy

If the itinerary structure is changed in a way that misaligns with the imported flight(s), a warning message will appear in the Notification Center (at the Planner's top).

If date or route data is inconsistent, correct the route, dates, or number of nights and update the route again so TripBuilder recalculates the itinerary chronology.

For instance, adding a day to the itinerary that differs from the original PNR will trigger such a warning, as illustrated in the following screenshot.
