Overview

TripBuilder allows users to change the flight class (for example, from Economy to Business) for flights included in an itinerary (present in the Transports step in the Planner).

Note:

  • The feature IS available for:

    • Inventory Flights, both during the booking and booking change processes

    • Live Supply via AERTiCKET and SoftConEx integrations only during the booking process

  • The feature IS NOT available for:

    • PNR imported Flights

    • Manually added Flights as Ad-Hoc Transportation

    • Combination of Inventory Flights and Live Supply within the same itinerary

Important:

  • This feature needs to be enabled by a Nezasa admin user.

  • Please contact our support team or your customer success manager to enable the feature flag available at the Distribution Channel > Planner tab > Product-Specific Configurations > Transports > Flight Class Upgrade.

How to Change a Flight Class

1. Select a Flight

  • If you don't have a flight previously selected in the itinerary, click on the Transports tab

  • Conduct a flight search

  • Choose a flight from the list of available options

  • The flight's detail screen will appear

OR

  • Having a flight previously selected in the itinerary, click on the Transports tab

  • The flight's detail screen will appear

2. Upgrade Flight Class Option

  • Here, you'll find the option to Upgrade Flight Class

  • Click on it to open the "Flight Class Upgrades" modal

3. Available Options

  • If additional upgrade/downgrade options are available, they will be displayed in the modal.

  • The selected class will show a zero price, indicating no additional cost. Other options will display a price surcharge for the trip and per person. The surcharge may vary depending on the number of passengers (PAX) in the itinerary and whether the new class is more or less expensive. A negative value (representing a cost reduction) is expected when downgrading a flight class.

4. Making a Selection

  • To change the flight class (upgrade or downgrade), select your desired option by clicking Select, then Save. The updated price will then appear in the Planner.

  • To cancel without saving, click the Close button or the close icon at the top right of the modal.

Note:

  • Changes to the flight class apply to all passengers in the itinerary; changes for some passengers are not possible.

  • If no additional upgrade/downgrade options are available for the flight, the modal will only display the currently selected option.
