Overview

This article provides insights into use case scenarios and features of Nezasa's SunnyCars connector. SunnyCars is a supplier of rental cars, and TripBuilder's connector integrates directly with SunnyCars' official API.

Setting up new credentials

When requesting the activation of SunnyCars credentials for your TripBuilder instance, please be aware of the following topics.

Setup Procedure

To minimise setup errors, please comply with the outlined setup procedure with SunnyCars:

  1. Prepare a list (e.g. using Excel or a spreadsheet) containing all the necessary account information (e.g., Name, Street address, specifics of market/currency). If available, please add the SunnyCars account number (AG).

  2. Forward this list to SunnyCars' agency care department.

  3. The agency care team will add and confirm all necessary account data, including XML API access. They will also enable the Webhooks (internally referred to as 'Midoffice Notification') for TripBuilder.

If step 3 is overlooked, all created bookings will remain on an "On Request" status without an automatic status change.

Further, if step 3 was not completed and bookings occurred before Webhooks were enabled, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance with booking confirmation with SunnyCars.

Cancellation Policies

SunnyCars negotiates individual cancellation policies with every customer. When requesting credential activation, please inform Nezasa's Support team of specific customer cancellation policies; otherwise, generic policies will be applied.

Note: The generic cancellation policy with SunnyCars (and used in TripBuilder) is that cancellations are free of charge until the pick-up day, and 100% thereafter. Please confirm with your SunnyCars representative that these conditions also apply.

Search Logic

TripBuilder integrates different pickup and drop-off combinations to enhance offer results when executing a search request. Examples are:

  • From airport pickup to airport drop-off

  • From airport pickup to counter drop-off

  • From counter pickup to airport drop-off

  • From counter pickup to counter drop-off

On Request

The Sunnycars integration supports On-request rental cars

When the booking is confirmed by Sunnycars, webhooks automatically update the status of the component in TripBuilder. The itinerary status, instead, is not automatically updated.

In the uncommon scenario when the car is not confirmed, there are no automated notifications. Therefore we recommend to get in touch with Sunnycars to handle the booking.

Testing

Please take a look at the following specifics regarding testing.

Vouchers

The SunnyCars test environment does not provide vouchers. To address this limitation, Nezasa implemented a "fake voucher" generator.

Webhooks

The SunnyCars test environment does not provide Webhooks. Therefore, on-request rental cars will not be confirmed in TripBuilder's test environment.
