Overview
Ensuring data organisation, consistency, and structure is crucial in both TripBuilder and external supplier systems. For the SunnyCars rental car supplier, TripBuilder can provide additional context about the travel agency behind each booking. This feature is especially beneficial for those operating in a multi-agency setup with high booking volumes.
TripBuilder allows the inclusion of Agency IDs in SunnyCars bookings. Each travel agency in TripBuilder is assigned a unique ID, which is then used in the SunnyCars system. This enables travel brands to efficiently track booking volumes across different agencies, supporting more informed, data-driven decision-making.

This feature is available only to customers using the SunnyCars rental car supplier.
Pre-Requisites
To use this feature, the following steps are required. Some steps are performed outside of TripBuilder:
The Travel Brand agrees with SunnyCars on which travel agencies should be mapped in their booking/post-booking system.
SunnyCars provides the Travel Brand with the ID mapping for each agency.
Travel Brand using TripBuilder assigns the appropriate SunnyCars ID to each travel agency. This final step is outlined in the following section.
How to Configure an Agency-Specific SunnyCars ID
Navigate to Settings
Click on Travel Agencies in the User Management section
Choose an existing agency to modify or create a new one
Select the Settings tab
Scroll down to the External References section
Click on Add external reference
Create a new external reference called SunnyCars and input the Agency ID value in the ID field
To save the agency details, click the Save button at the top right of the screen
After saving, every search and booking made by the travel agency will use the specified SunnyCars ID in API requests. This allows travel brands to efficiently track booking volumes across different agencies, thereby supporting more informed, data-driven decision-making.
Please note: The Agency ID is a numeric reference (usually between five to seven digits) used to identify each agency under a Tour Operator in the SunnyCars platform. To prevent booking failures due to incorrect data formats, please consider the following field restrictions:
Only numeric values are allowed
Minimum of 5 digits
Maximum of 20 digits
