Overview
Agency Groups/Cooperatives, as the name states, are used to group travel agencies together. The grouping rationale depends on the user. Some examples are:
Geographical Location: Grouping agencies from a specific area.
Brand Affiliation: Grouping agencies under the same travel brand.
Specialisation: Grouping agencies that specialise in selling specific products or experiences.
By grouping agencies, relationships involving multiple references to Travel Agencies (markup rule as an example) may now reference a single Agency Group. Further, suppose this reference is linked to various markup rules. In that case, only a centralised update to the Agency Group is required instead of numerous individual updates to each rule, which is a time-intensive (and prone to error) task.

Add an agency group/cooperative to a travel agency
To add an agency group/cooperative to a travel agency, go to the Travel Agencies option under the User Management menu.
Choose an existing travel agency or create a new one.
On the agency details, add the desired agency group/cooperative in the Group/Cooperative field, in the Company profile tab. The agency group/cooperative must already be created in the system for this operation.
Note: Regarding commission rules, if one rule applies to multiple Travel Agencies with a grouping rationale that supports the creation of a group/cooperative, instead of referencing each Travel Agency individually, a group/cooperative should be used instead. The group/cooperative needs to be already created in the system. For more information, check the Agency Commissions article.
