Before uploading, Pictures should be checked for their licenses and rights for commercial use!

Once the picture is uploaded to the system, you can add the License information on the Licence tab next to the Description tab.

Pictures Requiring Licensing must include the following information:

  • The name of the author (under Author for Attribution)

  • Source (website, photographer etc.)

  • License type, i.e. Creative Commons (under License for Attribution)

Pictures Not Requiring Licensing

If a picture does not require licensing, the field for attribution can be disregarded. The author may still be mentioned, but brackets are not needed anymore.

Example:

Author for Attribution

SnippyHolloW

License for Attribution

Does not need to be filled in this case

Note: If you are using your own pictures, usually, no license information is required. Therefore, does not need to be entered.

Important

We do not display the license information on pictures of inventory activities and accommodations, even if this information has been added to the pictures library.
